Is any personal data collected from participants?
Largely up to you. Nobody needs an account, an email address or an app to take part, and we build no profiles. Personal data can still arise — in free-text answers, in the Q&A and in the chat, and if you switch on the name prompt. Each device also stores a pseudonymous participation id so a vote is not counted twice; pseudonymous is not anonymous. The privacy policy sets all of it out.
Does omul use Google Analytics or other trackers?
No — omul embeds no third-party trackers and no ad pixels, neither on this site nor in the application. The one exception is yours to make: build a slide with an embedded video or board and your participants' devices connect to that provider directly. Without such slides, that never happens.
Is omul a privacy-friendly Mentimeter alternative?
Yes. Mentimeter is European too and says it hosts in the EU; the difference is that omul can be self-hosted — then you need no processor at all, and you can audit the source. For public authorities and universities that is often exactly where the review ends.
