Is Wooclap GDPR-compliant?

More clearly than any other vendor in this comparison: yes. Wooclap is a Belgian company and its own security page says the servers are "in a country of the European Union (‘eu-west-3’ region in Paris, France)" and are therefore subject to the GDPR. Add ISO 27001:2022, obtained in May 2024 and renewed in 2025 and 2026. If you are looking for a Wooclap alternative because of data protection, you are looking for the wrong reason.

The one difference that remains is real all the same: with Wooclap, Wooclap is your processor; with a self-hosted omul there is none. No DPA, no sub-processor list, no question about what a vendor may do with your audience's answers — the database is yours and the source is readable. Whether that is worth the operational effort to you is an honest question, not a rhetorical one.
